You are welcome to the Nigeria Corrosion Association (NICA), the foremost Industry and Academic Corrosion Control professional body in Nigeria. Established in 1988, by industry practitioners and academicians, the body has metamorphosed and repositioned itself as a professional body that adds value and provide endless opportunities for excelling in the fields of corrosion science and engineering practices.

Membership of the Association begins the life-long journey as a Corrosion professional, leading to the attainment of a specialist or multiple specialist certifications.

We build a formidable army of highly qualified Corrosion Scientists, Engineers and Technicians to take on the numerous challenges posed by corrosion and materials degradation in industry, public and private spaces, in the country.

Aligning with global best practices, we educate, train and equip our professionals to offer best services in corrosion protection, control and management.

Our Objectives

Awareness

To create awareness of the potential dangers, losses, and general hazards engendered by uncontrolled corrosion in society.

 

Education

Promote the teaching, education and research in corrosion science and engineering in educational and training institutions

Infrastructural Protection

Support both government and private organizations in stemming the onslaught of corrosion on their structures, infrastructure, processes and operations.

Corossion Consequences Alert

Where necessary, alert relevant authorities to possible corrosion consequences that must be averted.
