Overview
This competition challenges students to explore the impact of Corrosion on an underutilized unit in Nigerian refineries, focusing on the Crude Distillation Unit of a refinery that has not been operating regularly. Essays should highlight the consequences of this underutilization on the Crude Distillation Unit resulting from corrosion. The paper should show relevant examples with the aid of diagrams, and pictures for illustration.

Open to 300 to 500 level Science and Engineering students in Nigerian tertiary institutions.
